Who we are

CurryPlusPlus (“Curry++”, “we”, “us”) is a recipe website run by an individual based in Switzerland, alongside the Curry++ YouTube channel. For any privacy question, use the contact form or write to [email protected].

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit curryplusplus.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA and UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your message and, if you choose to give them, your name and email address. We use these only to read and reply to your message, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
  • Settings stored on your device. The site does not require an account and we don’t use our own tracking cookies.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example how many people visit, which pages they read, which country they visit from and what kind of device they use. It does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across websites.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which helps keep the site free. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

  • You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Visitors in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.

YouTube videos

Recipe videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube receives information such as your IP address when a video loads or plays. See Google’s privacy policy.

Fonts and other services

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. Our contact form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-processing service that forwards your message to us by email.

How long we keep information

Messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up, then deleted. Technical data is kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to other websites, such as YouTube. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
